Cara Creates is owned and operated by me, Cara Sonnier.

I’ve been a doodler since I could remember….on the backs of notebooks in school, on napkins in restaurants and even on my shoes when no paper was available. I didn’t do anything serious about it till college, where I discovered that I could combine my computer/math/science interests with my love of art and design into one.

As most do, I started small. My very first website was for my own wedding. I posted pictures, links to our gift registry and stories about us. Then I started doing websites for friends and family. Then in 2003 I started professionally – setting up my own business website, bidding on projects and advertising. At first it was a part time occupation as I had two very small children at home. But, thankfully, six years later, this is my full-time passion.

I live in southern Louisiana, in the heart of Cajun country, with my very supportive husband and two fantastic daughters. When I’m not designing websites, business cards and logos, I spend my time unschooling my kids, planting flowers around the house, reading books, listening to music or traveling.

I code projects by hand and am familiar with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and certain PHP scripted shopping carts. I also am very familiar with Mals-e shopping cart and recommend it highly to anyone just starting out.

I can create logos, business cards, postcards, car magnets, yard signs, notecards, invitations and announcements, blogger templates, myspace templates, rack cards, brochures, tshirts and advertising banners for the web. I can also provide printing for many of these products as well.

HOURS AND HOLIDAYS

I am available for phone consultations on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays, by appointment only. However you can contact me by email at anytime and you should receive an answer to any questions within 24 hours, excluding Sundays and holidays. I am not available on any US federal or Louisiana state holiday.

When the studio is closed (for vacation, business trips, etc), current web maintainence clients requests will be taken and processed but turnaround time will be delayed by up to 48 hours.
